雖然如果在學期開始前先把課程大綱規劃好，家長較能知道小孩未來的進度，但阿正覺得只要小孩還沒坐在課堂上，便還有各種測不準的變化，要把他們硬性套在課程裡，不一定能有最好的效果。
開學前幸蓉跟我說：「最近小孩很喜歡畫公主耶！是不是應該怎麼調一下？」
因為放個暑假，前後兩個多月沒見到小孩了，單憑電話描述，我也無法確定小孩的情況，所以就跟幸蓉說：「還是開學後在課堂上觀察過再說吧！」
可能是女生較多的關係吧，這群大班小孩其實一直非常喜歡畫公主，但畫公主是不是就不好呢？其實也有整天畫汽車、畫飛機、畫恐龍，一直畫不停的小孩，公主也不見得就比較壞吧，所以問題不是公主，而是是不是全都一個樣子的公主，花園裡的公主、下雨撐傘的公主、吃飽沒事幹的公主、跟恐龍決鬥的公主，如果公主能夠成為一個媒介，拓展小孩在想像與畫面間的連結，那這個公主還是一個好公主！
這兩個星期，我看小孩們畫的公主除了脫不了可愛甜美外，造形還滿豐富，但公主真的非要是個萬人迷不可嗎？何不來個山妖公主和船怪公主呢？

由於上學期缺課太多，所以凱鈞畫面的組織能力一直沒有跟上，信心有點不足，但因為船怪擁有不定形的造形，沒有像不像的問題，讓他比較能消除障礙，畫出結構較緊密的作品來。
